Research purposes:Through the analysis of Mn-SOD gene V (16) A polymorphism the distributionfeatures in Chinese han athlete group and normal control group and the associationbetween the site polymorphism and athletic ability related phenotypic indexes, tryingto find athletic ability related genetic markers of Mn-SOD gene V (16) A poly-morphism,in order to provide the reference and theoretical basis for athletes earlyscience genetic material.Research objects and methods:This study selected the Mn-SOD gene V(16)A polymorphism site. Analysis thedistribution characteristics of Mn-SOD gene V (16) A polymorphism in68southernChinese athletes,28northern han athletes, and68southern han normal people by PCR–RFLP method. Testing body composition related indicators of athletes who are inthe fasting state by X-ray SCAN PLUS the human body composition analyzer;Testing athletes hemogram indexes by Bayer ADVIA120type automatic blood cellanalyzer; Testing athletes maximum oxygen uptake (VO2max) and ventilationanaerobic threshold (AT) related parameters by the portable cardiopulmonary functioninstrument (CORTEX II) automatic analyzer; Testing athletes quiet condition thefrequency domain analysis parameters of heart rate variability in five minutes byRS800type of Polar multi-function heart rate table (Finland production). To explorethe association between Mn-SOD gene V(16)A polymorphism and athletic ability.Results:(1)The distribution trend of Mn-SOD gene V (16) A polymorphism genotype inthe southern han general population is VV type most, VA type is the second smallest, and AA type at least. The distribution is not consistent with shandong han people,Finland, the United States and the British general population distribution trend.(2) The allele frequency distribution between the man athletes and the femaleathletes of the Chinese Han athletes are statistically significant. the frequencydistribution of A allele carrying in north male athletes was significantly higher thanthat of southern men athletes; but the allele V, A distribution difference in Chinesefemale athletes of the different areas is not statistically significant; The genotypefrequency distribution difference in Han Chinese Athletes different groups had nostatistically significant. The frequency distribution of genotype and allele in thesouthern women athletes, The first woman’s athletes and aerobic exercise programfemale athletes are compared with the general population in southern womanRespectively, the results were significant differences. The Mn-SOD gene of V (16) A polymorphism distribution difference was no significant difference in the other groupdistribution.(3)①In body composition related indicators, men athletes with A allele typelean body mass is significantly higher than VV wild type carriers; Female athletes’ fatpercentage, body fat and body mass index in different genotypes are significantdifferences.②In the hemogram indexes, A allele type carriers’ red blood cells, hemoglobin and red blood cell press significantly higher than VV wild type carriers infemale athletes.③In VO2maxand AT related indicators, relative value of VO2maxinwild type VV men athletes were significantly higher than (VA+AA) type carriers④the HRV frequency domain analysis each parameter in different genotypes is nosignificant difference.Conclusions:Mn-SOD gene V (16) A polymorphism distribution exist national and regionaldifferences. Mn-SOD V (16) gene A polymorphism distribution frequency in thesouthern, northern athletes and the south control people are differences, and the sitepolymorphism and athletes sports ability phenotype indexs were associate. Itsuggested that Mn-SOD gene V (16) A polymorphism may be used as the selection ofathletes with molecular markers. But it still need to increase the sample size to makefurther verification.
