Purpose:In previous study found that the association between peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor ? coactivator(PPARGC1A)-gene family-related single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs)and elite endurance runners' status in a Chinese cohort.On this basis,the aim of this study is to examine the association between aerobic capacity performance,both baseline and training response,and PGC-1s gene and Interleukin-15(IL-15)gene polymorphism in general population of Han Chinese.In order to filter out individual differences of molecular genetic markers predicting aerobic capacity.Methods:The subjects of this study was 1151 healthy Chinese of han,age 20-69,who have not participated in regular physical exercise for one year.Let them take part in exercise intervention for 24 weeks,respectively,before and after the exercise intervention 16week and 24week,subjects were tested including VO2 max,body composition,and other health related indicators.The subjects venous blood were used to extract DNA by Tiangen-DNA kit.MALDI-TOF MS technology was used to examine the genotype that we had choose.The statistical analyses were performed using GLM and stepwise regression by SAS9.2 for Windows software program.Result:After the 16weeks and 24 weeks exercise intervention,the training response was significantly improved.1)Baseline:?VO2 max:In male,a significant association was observed between the rsl2650562 of PPARGC1A and rsl057972 of IL-15 and the baseline of VO2 max.According to the results of stepwise regression,the proportion of the rsl2650562 and rs1057972 which can explained the differences was 1.53%(P=0.0036)and 0.97%(P=0.0197)respectively;In female,the GLM'value showed no statistically significant differences in the VO2max between the SNPs we choose.? Body composition:In female,there are a significant association between the rsl2374310 and bone mineral content(BMC),and according to the results of stepwise regression,the rsl2374310 can explained the differences of 0.92%(P=0.027);But in male there are no significant association in body composition.2)Training response of 16 weeks:?VO2max:According to the results of association between 16 week's training response and the SNPs we choose.In male,there are no significant differences in VO2max between the SNPs we choose.In female,a significant association was observed between the rs251468,rsl7110586 and the changes in value of the VO2 max after 16 weeks intervention,and according to the results of stepwise regression,the proportion of the rs251468 which can explained the differences of the changes in value of the VO2 max was 1.4%(P=0.0378).?Body composition:In female we found that there are a significant association between rsl2374310 and fat mass and BMC through GLM analysis,and in stepwise regression no significant association between rs 12374310 and fat mass,but for the change of BMC the rs12374310 can explained it of 2.56%(P=0.0087).3)Training response of 24 weeks:?VO2 max:According to the results of association analysis in the effect of 24 weeks exercise intervention and the SNPs we choose.Both in male and female,there are no significant differences in VO2 max between the SNPs we choose.?Body composition:In male,there are a significant association between the rsl2374310 and fat percentage,fat mass and muscle mass through GLM analysis,and the proportion of which explained the differences respectively was 7.58%(P=0.025),4.39%(P=0.035)and 5.58%(P=0.0331).In female,the GLM analysis showed the significant association between muscle mass and fat percentage and the rsl2650562 genotypes,and the stepwise regression analysis showed that the proportion of the rsl2650562 can explained the differences respectively was 3.78%(P=0.0357)and 4.64%(P=0.0197).Similarly,the GLM analysis showed the significant association between muscle mass and BMC and the rs4697425,and the stepwise regression analysis showed that the proportion of the rs4697425 can explained the differences respectively was 4.21%(P=0.0216)and 3.45%(P=0.0319).Conclusion:1)The PPARGC1A rsl2650562 polymorphism and the IL-15 rs1052972 polymorphism is significant associated with VO2 max in male,and it can be used as the genetic marker loci.Similarly,the PPARGC1A rsl2650562 polymorphism is significant associated with fat percentage and muscle mass in female,and it can be used as the genetic marker loci in woman.2)The PGC-1? rs251468 polymorphism is significant association with the changes of VO2 max after 16 week's intervention,and it can be used as the genetic marker loci for the exercise intervention effect of VO2 max in female.3)The PGC-1? rsl2374310 polymorphism is significant association with the BMC in female,and it can be used as the genetic marker loci for the baseline and the exercise intervention effect of BMC in female.In addition,the PGC-1? rs 12374310 polymorphism is significant association with the fat percentage,fat mass and muscle mass in male,and it can be used as the genetic marker loci for the long-term exercise intervention effect of body composition in male.4)The PGC-1? rs4697425 polymorphism is significant association with the muscle mass and BMC in female,and it can be used as the genetic marker loci for the long-term exercise intervention effect of body composition in female.
