Teachers are important human resources for a country; teachers work can bringimmeasurable benefits to society. Teachers’ professional development is an ongoinggradual process, which contains all activities that a teacher improve theirprofessional ability in personal career.Therefore, teachers’ professional developmentis key to promote teachers specialization, fostering a eligible and professionalteachers is the guarantee of ensuring the high quality education.This study uses literature method, questionnaire survey method, logical analysis,mathematical statistics method, in Shanghai, Songjiang, Qingpu district, Jinshandistrict, Fengxian distict and Chongming district,38managers in schools,152juniorhigh school physical education teachers, with EXCEL2003, SPSS17.0software forstatistical data and analysis, from theoretical and practical level, put forward thescientific, reasonable and feasible to promote reform of junior high school physicaleducation teachers professional development in Shanghai suburb, providing theimportant reference basis for the reform of education commission scheme inShanghai.Results of this study are listed as follows:? It is reasonable that the age structure of physical education teachers of thejunior high schools in Shanghai suburb, mainly young and middle-aged teachers, themost ones are bachelor degree or above, but the number of middle school seniorteachers are relatively insufficient.? Junior high school physical education teachers in Shanghai suburb is largelyaccepted after training, And all teachers college, Shanghai universitys college ofeducation and training of the school organization activities effectively, Way oftraining is given priority to with watching teaching research, teaching reflection andexchange, But part of the training content is not consistent with what teachersprofessional development needs.? Most of junior high school physical education teachers in Shanghai suburb ofprofessional attitude, The necessity of and basic professional development, But the understanding of the concepts and related issues of teachers professionaldevelopment is not clear, Only a small number of PE teachers have their ownprofessional plan? Most of junior high school physical education teachers in Shanghai suburb oftheir own teaching skills are more confident, PE teaching materials, teachingreference books, network resources has become the main knowledge of physicaleducation teachers to improve their professional development, represented by thecomputer, foreign language tool class discipline knowledge has become a physicaleducation teachers need to be enhanced.? Sports teachers professional consciousness, insufficient funding, schoolleaders do not attach importance to, factors such as social status is not high, lack ofincentive mechanism is main factors of junior middle school PE teachers professionaldevelopment in Shanghai suburb.In view of this, this article in view of the basic situation of junior high schoolphysical education teachers in Shanghai suburb, professional development presentsituation and the factors affecting professional development put forward thecorresponding countermeasure and the suggestion, for the future of Shanghaisuburb middle school physical education teachers’ professional developmentprovides an important reference basis.
