The paper, in light of the current basic situation of the development of bridge inChina, adopts this university and5other universities in Wuhan, Hubei Province asinvestigation areas, and utilizes questionnaire method, literature document method,expert interview, and comparison analysis method, so as to conduct in-depthinvestigation and research on current bridge culture transmission and bridge class inuniversities in Hubei Province. On the basis of fully understanding the currentsituations of bridge culture transmission and bridge popularity of sports universities,discuss the relevancy between them and find out the problems in the bridge culturetransmission and bridge course of universities in Hubei, so as to put forwardcorresponding strategies.The investigation result shows that the current situations of bridge culturetransmission and sports culture development of universities in Hubei Province areserious, including the following problems: inadequate bridge class, shortage inteachers, poor organization management, and shortage in competition form. However,the development of bridge culture is closely connected with the transmission of sportsculture: as a sports program, bridge itself is a sports culture; the transmission situationof bridge culture is in direct proportion to the quantities of bridge classes; the morethe bridge classes are, the better the effect of culture transmission is; and theacceptance degree of universities toward bridge contributes to the promotion of bridgeculture to certain degree.In light of existing problems, in combination with relativity between culturetransmission and bridge culture transmission, and in aspects of communication,culturology, and sports culture, put forward methods and means to promote thedevelopment of bridge culture; intensify the integration of China and western sportscultures; establish courses based on the promotion of bridge culture; interactivetransmission of whole-media form; actively develop the university market outsideuniversities to improve the publicity of bridge culture.
