In the early21st century, the national ministry of education points out that theinformationization of education has become China’s main force of educational reformand development; it is the realization of balanced educational development, narrowingthe regional differences, constructing lifelong educational system, path to realizing themodernization of education. And education information is listed as one of the keyproject of national education. Actively responding to the national call on, Guangdongprovince has issued a series of supporting policies and organized the implementation ofrelevant action plan, and taken it as the strategic choice of provincial educationenterprise reform and development of education informatization, so as to promoteeducation modernization by education informationization, to realize the harmoniousdevelopment of the province’s education and development by leaps and bounds. As alarge economy entity with "distinct regional difference and structural imbalance",Guangdong province has gone through two5years plans. So what is the currentsituation of basic education informationization development? What is the achievement?What kind of problems existing? How to solve? All of these will be discussed in thisarticle with in-depth research and focus on analysis.Choosing Guangdong as the representative area for the breakthrough point, by themeans of broad spectrum research and case analysis, we will induce the main andcommon factors that influence healthy development of regional educationinformationization, systematically analyzing and researching difficulties andcountermeasures for the sustainable informationization help narrow the educational gapbetween regions and the digital divide, help taking regional advantages, and thecoordination of each element of the local education informatization development,promote the development of theory and practice of education informationization, it hascertain value on improving overall regional education informationization constructionbenefit, reducing the regional difference, optimizing the allocation of resources,improving the actual effect of construction and application of information technology,securing balanced and fair education. By documentary verification, comparison, literature research, investigation, statistics, case analysis and other methods, using thebasic education information in Guangdong province as the research object, this paperillustrates the currect situation of educational informationization in Guangdong provincein terms of the policy environment, infrastructure, resources, service, teaching,application and management. This paper also offers pertinent and practical solution toproblems that basic educational informationization in Guangdong currently facesthrough quantitative and qualitative analysis on relevant data obtained in the research byadopting systematic theory, path dependence theory and performance theory, andcombining with local case experience, so as to provide some references for the specificstrategies of establishing and promoting education informatization of various areas inGuagdong province. The whole paper is divided into five parts:The first part is introduction, which mainly introduces the research background ofthis paper, research purpose and significance, research methods and innovations;The second part is the related theoretical research on educationalinformationization, it expounds the concept and connotation of educationinformationization, through the domestic and foreign literatures study, compares theeducation informatization development strategy and experience for reference,combining with relevant theoretical knowledge of management, principles are definedon the development of regional education informatization;The third part carries out broad-spectrum resistance investigation and statusanalysis on basic education informationization construction and application status ofguangdong province;The fourth part provides improvement strategies in view of the existing problemsof basic education informatization in guangdong province.Fifth part briefly summarized the whole paper and pointed out what need to beimproved.
