Study On Vocational School Students’School-Weariness Phenomenon And Social Work Intervention

School-weariness is a common social phenomenon. Scholars are more and more concerned about it. The study takes a Vocational School of Wenzhou as an example to do the students’ investigation and social work intervention. The study focuses on the following three aspects:(a) to explore the condition of the school students’ school-weariness by a-pretest, and to analyze the influencing factors of Vocational School students’ school-weariness;(b) to intervent in Vocational School students’ school-weariness and to explore the effects of social work intervention;(c) to evaluate social work intervention’s effects by a-after test of the weary students.Through a questionnaire survey of four classes in Wenzhou C County D Vocational School’s172students, the study has reached the following conclusions:(a) the high rate of school-weariness. From data analysis, the study finds that16.2%D Vocational School students have serious school-weariness;39.6%of the students have a moderate degree of school-weariness;44.2%of the students have a slight school-weariness;(b) Vocational School students’ school-weariness is significantly different in sex:boys are worse than girls;(c) students’ school-weariness have significant correlation with personal factors, peer group factors, family factors, school factors, social factors, environmental factors.This study is based on the investigation and the research, through the social work intervention plan and other activity plans, mainly using the theme class, group work, case and a variety of extracurricular activities and so on, in order to make the students to love learning. The result shows that:(a) D Vocational School students’school-weariness scores decreased2.58points after one term’s intervention;(b) the difference in gender:boys are better than girls;(c) the difference in grade:each grade of the Vocational School has improved, but the range of improvement varies;(d) Through group activities, all team members’school-weariness has declined, the overall average dropped6.66points. Social work intervention can enhance the students’ skills, helping them to get rid of school-weariness and have a wonderful life;(f). This study finds that the situation of the experimental group2is better than the control group from the comparation between them after social work intervention. It shows that social work intervention can help Vocational School students to decrease the school-weariness.
