China and Japan are the two countries, facing each other across the sea.They have countless ties in economy, culture and many aspects, inevitably in mother tongue education, more intersection can also appears. Enter the times of the rapid development of economization, mother tongue education always seems to be out of the line of sight of people range.Therefore this paper with the help of the analysis on ideas and values of China and Japan immigrant mother tongue education during the period of the republic, the author found:The same points between China and Japan immigration during the period of Republic of China are:1.Under the same background, there are the same challenges.2. The two countries in the mother tongue education all emphasize the concept of national culture, take the national culture as the core.3. The two countries immigrant mother tongue education are all positive in transferring native culture and taking the foreign culture for reference.The differences are:1.In the face of the shock with the same of Chinese culture and Japanese culture, the Japanese mother tongue education has undergone dramatic reform. China’s overseas Chinese education and traditional education, adhering to the principles, are still similar, limited in traditional culture as the main education system.2.The degree of accepting new culture from Japan is far greater than that from China.3.China’s overseas Chinese mandarin education concept is progress then, attempting to make innovation, but, because China’s traditional thought bound is too heavy, the effect is far behind Japan.4. The mandarin education of Japanese overseas in China is influenced overweight by militarism. That makes it even stronger in political color than Chinese overseas.5.The two countries have different education thought and people’s education ideas are also different. Finally, on the basis of the above research, the author aimed at the weakening phenomenon of mother tongue education between the two countries, to strengthen the mother tongue education, put forward the following suggestions:1.Improve the cognition of the mandarin education and national culture.2.Attach importance to ancient cultural inheritance and construct a traditional culture atmosphere3.Fully according to the characteristics of the language to teach4.Mother tongue education should fully reflect the characteristics and charm of the mother tongue.5.Understanding and positioning of the status and the function of other languages correctly.The author hopes this writing will play a role in the healthy development of mother tongue education.
