With the continuous development of society, the competition among institutions of higher learning is becoming increasingly fierce. Especially vocational colleges which are at the bottom of institutions of higher learning classification face enormous pressure to survive. In order to obtain sustainable development, vocational colleges must strengthen their connotation development, starting from improving the quality of teaching, training and establishing a teacher team of excellent quality, improving colleges’core competitive power. Therefore, it is especially important to strengthen teachers’performance management. In recent years, Jiangxi Vocational College of Finance and Economics has continued to actively explore teachers’ performance management, and achieved certain results, but there are also many problems. This paper adopts the method of combination of theory and practice, carries on the analysis of its teachers’ performance management, obtains the following achievements:(1) This paper first introduces the theories of human resources performance management, which provides the theoretical basis for measures to improve the performance management system of Jiangxi Vocational College of Finance and Economics.(2) This paper carries on a detailed analysis of the existing performance management of Jiangxi Vocational College of Finance and Economics, finds out the following problems:the performance management system is not complete; evaluation index weight qualitative light quantitative; the evaluation process and results are not open; the incentive mechanism is imperfect; and performance evaluation mechanism is not perfect. This paper also discusses the causes of these problems:performance management in higher vocational colleges lacks theory and practice guidance; leaders don’t pay much attention to performance management; teachers lack understanding of performance management.(3) In order to optimize the performance management system of Jiangxi Vocational College of Finance and Economics, this paper gives recommendations for improvement from the four aspects, that is, performance design, performance appraisal, performance communication and feedback, performance application. It also puts forward to create a a new type feedback management mode of human resource management promoted by performance evaluation..(4) This paper also considers measures from three aspects of society, system and practice in order to ensure the implementation of effective human resources needed for performance management of Jiangxi Vocational College of Finance and Economics.
