Functional strength training is from the United States AP spinal strength training mode of the coreregion of the advanced strength training. Through literature review found that domestic scholars ontraditional strength training and functional strength training with different emphasis, exist at the same timefactors and problems ignored. This study used the method of literature, comparative analysis, mathematical statistics, expertinterviews, analysis and discussions are carried out on the traditional strength training and functionalstrength training, the conclusion are as follows:1Traditional strength training characteristics is that the body in a relatively stable state, usinganatomical, morphological or structural characteristics, the training action decomposition and analysis ofthe essential force effect of the major muscle groups, which are local body muscle or muscle, connectivetissue exercises stimulate muscle in order to achieve the expected effect of power development. And thisprocess need through the muscle fiber splitting and nervous system on muscle contraction speed controland mobilize more motor units to participate in activities to achieve.2Functional strength training is to enhance the ability to strengthen the control characteristics of theneuromuscular control system as well as the core area of deep muscle stability power, making the body inhigh-speed motion or unstable state, control function and movement through a chain of human motionchain balance of different parts and links the cohesion force, transfer and integration, to to improve theefficiency of power output.3Both in physiology, anatomy and exercise training have significant difference in contrast also havetheir own advantages and disadvantages, functional strength training in the probability for the size ofmuscle development is not balanced, sports injury, power quality to the special quality conversion processprone to low efficiency barriers and high speed or unstable power transmission at the same time, also needto combine traditional strength training development strength, both cannot be denied, need to complementeach other in order to realize the coordinated development.
