This article is based on old talents in the university as a research group, retired older persons of Nanjing W University as object of study. Using the methods of questionnaires to carry out empirical research. From four aspects of elderly talentsā€™development approach, willingness, motivation and channel to investigate. From the survey data and the elderly reflects the status to analyze the following factors. Currently, the elderly people in university are very likely their intelligence and experience can be effective exploit. However, due to the impact of the decline of physiological function, this old people who are able to contribute to society are too few. In addition, there are many objective limiting factors such as the current retirement system, development mechanism, social prejudice and family, these are seriously restricted the old talent development process.Against the short development of currently aged talents resources in universities and the lack of personnel conflicts, although the government has realized the value of college aged talent and developed polices and systems which can playing a certain role in promoting, but it is not enough. This article presents the corresponding countermeasures:First, building a national as the mainstay of institutional support; Second, building a correct concept of the old age in the whole society; third, build universities elderly management and incentive support; fourth, strengthen the support of the elderly on their own. Proposed a targeted and practical and recommendations from four angles of state, society, universities and the elderly, to achieve a reasonable senior talents resources development and utilization purposes.
