Professional Social Worker Career Development Dilemma And Countermeasures Research

In the early1980s, with the development of the recovery of social work and civiladministration work, social work in mainland China has rapidly developed since2000. Tosafeguard and improve people’s livelihood as the key point of construction of socialist harmonioussociety greatly promoted the development of the social work professional education, social workprofessional talent team construction, and the formation of the social work professional system.Although, professional social workers in mainland China career development face manyopportunities, but at the same time professional social workers in the career development processalso face many dilemma.Currently the society and scholars to the attention and research of career development of theprofessional social workers is quite lacking. Domestic the research about professional socialworker career primarily concerned with the analysis of the social environment of social workcareer development, the rough study of the career development on dilemma,plan and strategies.Existing related research are rare, at the preliminary stage, and mostly from the Angle of macropolicy, lack of the depth and analysis of the first hand information, also need a more in-depthdiscussion and more practicable measures to solve the problems in the process of development.Based on this, the author studies professional social workers in Beijing as the research object,adopts qualitative research method of grounded theory, listen to their voice and expectations,summarizes and sums up their problems in the process of career development and strategy fromthe perspective of social worker itself in order to explore a more effective countermeasures topromote the career development of professional social workers in our country, to better promotethe development of social work in China.
