School Mental Health Education teachers are those who according to the mental activities of the primary and secondary school students, using the methods and means of mental health education, provided services designedly to the Primary and Secondary School students for their overall quality development and improvement. The work content of school Mental Health Education teachers have an effect on the development of mental health education, their work content affect the effectiveness of mental health education directly.This study used the self-designed basic information questionnaire and work record table as well as work content options table of primary and secondary mental health education teachers to did a investigation on32part-time and full-time primary and secondary mental health education teachers. This research objective is to analysis the work content and time allocation of the primary and secondary mental health education teachers and study the work content and time allocation differences of mental health education school teachers among primary school, junior high school and high school by using the time analysis method, and proposed targeted suggestions for further improvement according to the analysis results, the analysis results can provide the realistic basis for the education authorities to formulate the policy framework on the primary and secondary mental health education teachers work content and time, this will promote the development of the primary and secondary mental health education effectively.The following conclusions can be drawn from this study:(1)In general,the work contents of the school mental health education teachers are complicated, and their work time was assigned unreasonably;(2)Senior high school mental health education teacher spent more time than elementary and junior high school mental health education teacher on direct and indirect on mental health education and administrative;(3) Elementary school mental health education teacher spent more time than junior and senior high school mental health education teacher on teaching;(4) Junior high school mental health education teacher spent more time than elementary and senior high school mental health education teacher on educational research and training;(5) Senior high school mental health education teacher spent more time than elementary and junior high school mental health education teacher on student counselors and other activities. Implication of the results and suggestion were also presented.
