Owing to the professional peculiarity,the mental and body health status of teachers not only affects their own health and behavior,but also widely and deeply affects the students through their educational behavior,so people have placed more and more emphasis upon the mental health status of teachers.Especially at present,teachers should affect students with their healthy mentality,which is the most persuasive way of mental health education.Work stress is one of the key factors physically and mentally affecting such teachers' health.Too much work stress can lead to teachers' more negative behavior and burnout,which have a bad effect on students and do mental harm to them.The career pressure,family pressure continuously backlog,some teachers feel frustrated,the lack of sense of achievement,some doubt their teaching ability,and think they are not suitable for the teaching work,led to a decline in performance.But some of the teachers were able to under great pressure to maintain mental health the education teaching work to keep high enthusiasm and motivation,part of teachers has become a teacher,outstanding teachers,the development of their job burnout phenomenon probability is low.One of the cause of this phenomenon may be relate to teachers' personality.Considering the current social backgrounds and educational environment,this article puts emphasis on the research of the teachers' mental and body health and its relationship between work pressure and personality.It can provide theoretical proof for cultivating teachers and enhance the quality of education.Using psychosomatic disease questionnaire,SCL-90,EPQ and working stress scale,the research surveys 335 teachers from part of primary school and secondary school in Shanghai.The survey indicates that:(1)Primary and secondary school teachers have high rate of psychosomatic disease,the highest prevalence of psychosomatic disease is headache(2)Primary and secondary school teachers of psychosomatic health is lower than the general population.According to the three factor of teachers' working pressure are management,eduction teaching reform and students.(3)The gender,teaching age,region,teacher in charge of class and teaching graduating class have impact on primary and secondary school teachers' psychological health,work stress,personality.Among them,in the aspect of mental heath,Male teachers have three factor scores more than female teachers.The teacher who has teaching experience in more than 30 years,the “body” score is high.The teacher who teaching graduating class,the “depression” factorscore is high.In the aspect of working strss,the male teachers “psychosomatic characteristics” problem is big,the teacher who is in charge of the class,the “work characteristics” score is high.In the aspect of personality,the male teachers' “neurotic” score is high,the teacher has teaching experience in 6-10 years have high score in “hide”,the suburb teachers “neurotic” scores is higher than teacher in the city center.(4)Work pressure and SCL-90 in addition to the "sensitive interpersonal relationship" was significantly positively related to other factors.Primary and secondary school teachers' personality,N and P factors were positively correlated with SCL-90 part,E and L partial factor negatively correlated with SCL – 90.(5)Personality factors are partly adjust between job stress and mental health.
