| With the continuing development of history education, historical comparative educationarouses wide concern among scholars. And the comparative study between Chinese historyeducation and American history education is the most popular sphere. Taking Americanhistory education as a reference, we can not only feel the different of educational ideas andeducational method between China and America, but also introduce the ad vanced teachingmethod and textbook writing. In the past, scholars paid more attention to the comparison ofcurriculum standards, history teaching method and history curriculum of history educationbetween China and United States, but paid little attention to the comparison of historymaterials. The paper adopts the method of case study, takes Chinese high school historytextbook of the People’s Education Press and the World History of McGraw-Hill Companiesas the object of study; and takes “the French Revolution†which is the historic event andoccupies an important component in historical materials as the research contents. Through thecomprehensive comparison, we can find kinds of difference between the different historicalmaterials, see through the different, make suggestions to the improvement and progress of ourhistorical materials, and rewrite the part of “the French Revolution†of history textbook of thePeople’s Education Press.This paper will include citations, text and reference. The text is divided into three parts.The first part is to compare and contrast the two versions of historical materials in severalaspects, including the style of teaching materials, content structure, text system, text auxiliarysystem, and historical data application. Through the comparison, the different in twocountries’ historical education will emerged, and we can analyze the shortage in our country’textbook complication. In the second part, the writer make suggestions to the improvement ofour country’ historical materials based on the shortage of teaching materials. In the third part,the writer rewrites the part of “the French Revolution†of history textbook of the People’sEducation Press. The forth part is epilogue, which is used to summarize the full test. |
