Prose is the literary genre with a long history in China, with text from the Shangdynasty, there exists documented history of prose, and the prose is still an important literarygenre in China’s literary works in nowadays.In ancient times, the prose is relative to the verse,parallel prose, in addition to poem, words, tune, ode, regardless of literary works ornon-literary works, they all called "prose".In modern times,Prose is a literary genre tied withfiction, poetry, drama, and it refers to the modern and contemporary prose prose in thisarticle.With the rich with the development in modern and contemporary prose creation andChinese and foreign literary theory,denotation and connotation of modern and contemporaryprose are in constant change,Although the study of modern and contemporary proseincreasingly enriched,But so far the concept of modern and contemporary prose classificationis lack of a definitive statement yet,Therefore, study for the modern and contemporary prosehas not only become a hot research topic in academia,but also become a hot research topic inthe teaching.In addition, prose accounts for a large proportion in the new PEP high schoollanguage textbook and required for course reading appreciation the new the PEP high schoollanguage and a big plate in elective courses,which is a powerful new force in languageteaching materials. But for a long time,there exists some misunderstandings in teaching ofmodern and contemporary prose, such as students with less learning method for modern andcontemporary prose,interpretation for modern and contemporary prose the text are lack ofpersonality,as well as interpretation is not enough on the high school language curriculumstandards (experimental)". Therefore, this article will explore countermeasures at threeaspects of modern and contemporary prose itself,"Ordinary high school language curriculumstandards (experimental)" prose teaching guidance and misunderstanding in the teaching ofhigh school now contemporary prose.This article focuses on a clear definition for the modern and contemporary prose in thefirst part in order to explore the characteristics and classification of prose,an on this basis,classify of modern and contemporary prose of the new PEP high school language textcontents; In the second part, make a clear guidance for "ordinary high school languagecurriculum standards (experimental) prose teaching; In the third section, explore themisunderstanding in teaching of modern and contemporary prose from three aspects ofcontemporary Prose teaching theoretical guidance,teachers and students; In the fourthpart,Explore the teaching countermeasures for modern and contemporary prose against the misunderstanding in the teaching of modern and contemporary prose.
