Modern and Contemporary prose is a major genre in high school Chinese textbooks.It occupied a large proportion on each version of the textbooks and has been favored in the college entrance examination over the years. However, the lack of reading theory and the teaching standard of modern and contemporary prose in new curriculum,teachers' uneven literacy level, all these lead to the dilemma of modern and contemporary prose teaching.This article takes the modern and contemporary prose in PEP version of high school Chinese required textbooks as the object of study. This study will put forward some improving direction for modern and contemporary prose teaching in middle school.In the introduction, this paper expounds the research origin, status quo, object and the methods of the selected topic.In the first chapter,the author expounds the status of modern and contemporary prose in senior high school Chinese teaching, which takes a large proportion of the teaching selections and is more and more important in the college entrance examination .Then,On the basis of the research results of others, the author goes deep into middle school teaching practice.The author finds that there are three main teaching problems in the current modern prose teaching, that is, the main problem is unclear and the teaching integrity is destroyed;the superficial understanding of interpretation,which has ignored the author's emotional experience, and the misuse of multimedia,the inner context of prose is missing.In the second chapter, the author expounds the establishment basis and relevant content of modern prose teaching content. The author mainly discusses the basis of the contemporary prose from the perspective of the the college entrance examination syllabus,high school Chinese curriculum standard and the design angle of main problem.And separately from the theme, structure, language style to establish prose teaching content.In the third chapter, the author explores the strategies of modern prose teaching from the following three aspects: clear the main question design,multiple interpretations,writing to read, and the rational use of multimedia.For each section , the author has made a breakdown. In the main problem design, to take the author's writing intention as a breakthrough, next, to train the students' ability as the guide.In the section of multivariate reading and writing to read,The author respectively strengthens reading aloud, reads the situation, strengthens the writing, reads to write, and uses the college entrance examination roll for training as the starting point.Finally, the author discusses the rational use of multimedia by design according to the teaching difficulties and the teaching link design.
