The learning activities of human beings are having a strong tendency towarddigitalization and are increasingly becoming a lifelong pursuit in the information era. With theoverall promotion of the new curriculum reform of basic education in China, it has been acritical goal to develop the abilities of autonomy, collaboration and inquiry learning and it’salso advocated that the teacher’ s role played in the traditionally indoctrinatory classroomshould be made the transition to a learning guide, an instructional organizer and a researcher.As we know, the process of IT in education in our nation is accelerating; a lot of projects,especially “Class Access to ICTs” in recent years, are gradually going into some elementaryand secondary schools. The dissertation mainly demonstrates how to make the most use of theInteractive Whiteboard system in the ordinary classroom of middle school and how to carryout the Chinese inquiry reading-teaching relying on the campus network where SocialSoftware and virtual sharing platforms, such as Blog and MicroBlog, can be appropriatelyutilized in educational region, which will help the teachers and students work togethersmoothly both in reality and in virtual world and build the connection between the student’sinformal learning in extracurricular activities and the formal one in class.Exploiting the educational research methods, which chiefly include documentationmethod, observational method and interviewing method, the dissertation structures a newChinese reading-teaching model called “the Integration of Inquiry Instruction”, whichconsists of about eight analyzed dimensions and is based on some domestic andinternational researches and related theories. Moreover, a corresponding empirical researchis made to support the thesis. From the survey of instructional design on the specific case, thenew model is capable of solving a number of problems emerging from the traditional Chineseclass, which combines between the behaviors in the students’ online life and the languagestudy in class. With the teacher’s instructions, individuals and learning communities havemade the comprehension of the practicality about the Chinese subject. Considering about theeffects of the implementation, the responses from the teachers and students were nearlypositive. However, it is essential to revise and improve the new model itself constantly inpractice for its popularization.
