Many college students are not satisfied with speciality, and the inappropriate professional will lead to academic problems. even wrong work options. Although some kind of Short-term career counseling has been offered for graduates before entrance examination in some senior school, these far failed to meet the needs of students’ career development. Career maturity represents the extent of personal career development and the readiness of the career selected. The higher the maturity, the more he can make a wise career choice. Currently, the career maturity of senior school students is not high. The current problem faced is to find an effective way to improve the career maturity of senior school students. To explore effective group counseling program for students and schools at the moment, the career maturity of senior Grade one students has been intervened through a form of class group counseling in this study.In this study, two high parallel classes in a high school was chosen subjects, and was randomly determined experimental classes and control classes. First, the pre-test scores of the students from the two classes was not significantly different, so the two classes was identified homogeneous. The experimental class accepted seven times of group counseling on the theme of career development, the controlled class did not accept any intervention. Finally, after7times of intervention, the two classes accepted the post-test at the same time.The conclusions are as follows:(1) After this intervention, the post-test scores of the experimental class students in the knowledge of jobs, knowledge of self are significantly higher than the score of the controlled class. So, this intervention can significantly improve the career decision-making knowledge of the senior Grade One students.(2) After this intervention, the post-test scores of the experimental class students in confidence, utilitarian and decisiveness are significantly higher than the score of the controlled class. So, this intervention can significantly improve the career decision-making attitude of the senior Grade One students.(3) Experimental class students have a highly prasial on this group guidance. They are satisfied with the forms and the contents of the guidance, especially the positive atmosphere. They think that they have got so much knowledge about themselves and the work,that they have got much more mature. They suggest school to carry out more activities like this and improve the openness of the students.(4)This intervention program can significantly improve their career maturity, so it can be popularized and applied.
