In Xinjiang, the development of minority people’s politics, economy and culture is slow.The improvement of the quantity and quality of minority talents is lagging behind, and alsothe whole minority people’s quality is slow, too. Their development space is becomingsmaller, which results in quite a few people are not able to fit in the advanced productivitysystem and stay away from the mainstream society. A number of minority people are poorand short of money for their children’s education. Some even borrow money for theirchildren’s education fee, which suggests that the parents place much hope for their children.However, when they come to the reality that their children can not find jobs after graduate,they are puzzled, disappointed, and dissatisfied. It is clear of the importance, urgency, anddifficulty to solve the problem of employment for the minority graduates. Central and localauthorities pay much attention to the problem, which is known to all. But for its particularity,there are still great cognition differences to this problem. And the force of measures are stillin need.This paper takes Xinjiang minority graduates as the research object. To probe into thereasons for employment difficulties for the minority graduates, based on combing theliterature about the employment over the whole country and in Xinjiang, the methods ofdocument analysis, investigation, and interviewing are applied. Taking B.Weiner’s attributiontheory as the foundation, this paper describes the current situation of Xinjiang minoritygraduates’ employment, puts forwards its employment difficulties, and proposes the countermeasures according to the analysis.Research suggests that the employment difficulty still exists. According to the results ofthe survey, the elements from employment preparation, planning, perception, anticipate andcareers guidance have great influence on the minority graduates’ employment. They reflecton minority graduates themselves, the authorities’ policies and universities and colleges inXinjiang. This paper analyses the reasons for it from internal and external factors, andproposes the counter measures, to provide some guiding significance for society, colleges&universities and minority graduates themselves. It is also aimed to promote employment ofXinjiang minority graduates, consolidate social stability, and motivate the sustainabledevelopment of the society and economy.
