Wuling Mountainous Area College Sports Venues Resources Management Development Research

Sports venues resource is an important part of sports industry. As basic materialguarantee, the development level of it influences the whole sports industry directly.Under the background of college sports venues trying to open to the outside world indifferent forms, opening-up of college sports venues facilities is not optimistic inWuling mountain section area which is a new differentiation region in the westernregion. In this paper, we studied resources status, business development and otheraspects of four colleges (Hubei Institute for Nationalities, Jishou University, HuaihuaCollege, Tongren College) sports venues with literature, interview, mathematicalstatistics, logical analysis and other research methods. we strived to give reasonablesuggestions and reference for scientific management and efficient use of resources ofcollege sports venues in Wuling mountain section area.This paper is divided into five chapters. Chapter1is the introduction, including thebasis topics, the purposes and significance of our study, literature review, currentsituation, the objects and methods of our study, etc. Chapter2is current managementand development situation of college sports venues resources in Wuling mountainsection area, including resource situation, management system, financing channels,content, talent and means of operation, capital investment and income of sports venuesresources. Chapter3is SWOT analysis of management and development of collegesports venues resources in Wuling mountain section area. Chapter4is effectivemanagement and development strategy of college sports venues resources in Wulingmountain section area. Chapter5is epilogue.The SWOT analysis showed that，the four colleges in Wuling mountain section areahave advantages in location, sports venues feature projects, convenience of carrying outcommunity sports fitness, meanwhile, they have the opportunities provided by nationalpolicy, national public fitness demand and development of national culture. However,they also have disadvantage in poor venues infrastructure, shortage of venuesconstruction and maintenance funding, shortage of talents who are well in venuesmanagement and development. In addition, there is threat of the outside world, such aslag of regional social economic development, poor physical training consciousness ofthe masses, the competition of off-campus public sports venues, the rise of the off-campus social commercial venues. We proposed the following countermeasures forcurrent situations of the college sports venues in Wuling mountain section area:establishing sound and professional venues management system and institution;attracting investment from non-governmental sources to make up for the venuesconstruction funds; improving the college sports venues opening-up; increasing thepublicity and adjusting marketing strategy；introducing and cultivating professionalmanagement talents of sports business; developing some feature venues resources withthe advantages of out-door geographic resources in Wuling mountain section area;striving for the undertaking of large-scale activities inside and outside the province withthe help of location advantages; accelerating the establishment of a school fitness cluband the implementation of sports fitness training; Cooperating with the enterprises andinstitutions and providing paid sports fitness services for its workers; Cooperating withthe community residents’ committees and providing paid health service for residents;holding national sports events and public fitness projects with the advantages of featureprojects of college sports venues.
