| Brain storming is a simple method, which could stimulate students’ thinking sparks by the small conference organization mean. General Technology Curriculum (GTC) has the properties of covering a wide range, reflecting the basic and universal, which is not only widely applied in daily life but also transfer the value in the development of the students. On the premise of the implementation of the certain principles, the brain storming method is reasonably applied to the general technology teaching, by this means can change the present situation of general technology teaching model is too monotonous. The students can get the best solutions from the discussion of brain storming. Not only it can stimulate students’ learning and participation in the initiative, but also can enhance students’ sense of community and cooperation achievement.To begin with, this research studied the application of brain storming in the general technology in theory. First, introduces the connotation of brainstorming and classification. Second, compare the brainstorming and group cooperation teaching method, case teaching method, analyzes its applicability in general technology curriculum. Third, the teaching value of brainstorming method applied to general technology, including the general technology can improve the students’ interest, pay attention to the development of all students, and create a relaxed classroom atmosphere, students cultivate the spirit of innovation, construct the curriculum evaluation system, pay attention to new students autonomous learning ability development and so on. Fourth, discusses brainstorming method in general technology curriculum in scope--design courses; fifth, respectively, described in detail on the implementation of the principles in the general technology course in the brainstorming method from five aspects of the environment, subject, time, democracy and accumulation.After elaborating the theory, this study selected two middle schools in Shenyang as a sample, using the methods of interview and questionnaire survey, which masters the current teaching situation of general technology curriculum in Shenyang area. Based on the analysis of actuality, a chapter "common creating techniques" is selected as an example, and the application of brain storming in "common creating techniques" section of teaching design and the concrete classroom application process are discussed.Finally, the article summarizes the positive significance of brainstorming to GTC, including student inspiration, improvement of participation enthusiasm, improvement of the learning interest, enhancing the team consciousness, and cultivating students’ autonomous learning ability. At the same time, the study analyzes problems on the application of brain storming method in GTC, and what causes the problems, including the students may be barriers to communication and Group Psychology, and panel discussions could lead to chaos, class leader selection more random, hard to give full play to the role of function. In view of the above question, several promotion and development strategies of brain storming applied in GTC are proposed in this paper, including changing teachers’ concept and strengthen the construction of teaching staff, to meet the needs of brain storming teaching; to establish and perfect the system of curriculum evaluation, in order to facilitate the teachers and students to communicate effectively; to master the deficiencies exist in the teaching, which could be reasonable improvement of teaching. |
