Art education is easier to conduct in early childhood during the entire mental and art ability development process. The reason why considerable amount ofart works creatation deceased and the interest of art moved on at the same stage confused many educators according to differentiation theory of art education research. Many educators endeavored to the research of the above mentioned crisis and two of the most important explanation was given. Firstly, the differentiation of interest caused the uncertainty interest of art activities during the child’s rational thinking development. Secondly, child gradually dissatisfied with their former drawings, which is treated as art works by themselves after their taste of art built and master new paint skill appeared to be a difficult thing by then. However, the author herself believes that there lies a deeper cause besides the above two explanations. The author reanalyzed and elaborated the difficulties on child’s art learning differential stage after she rethought the overall value of the art behavior according to Rudolf Arnheim’s visual thinking theory. A conclusion is drew that paint is one of the basic human survive practice. The art behavior of beauty appreciation is not the basic value of its kind;it can be a practical media of image thinking. Painting and art behavior is generally considered as barely a special way of common drawing activity. Rethink the overall value of art behavior from this view may help to draw rationalexplanation towards the differentiation period issue on elementary art education.
