Teachers are the key factor of improving education quality. In the environment of the newcentury, it is necessary to improving the quality of education, cultivating new talents, and theimprovement of teachers’ quality is top priority. In order to effectively improve the quality ofteachers, all countries have set out to establish the national teachers’ professional standards toregulate teachers’ training and professional development. Teachers’ professional standard providesa clear framework for teachers’ effective teaching and the responsibility of job; has been clear aboutthe professional knowledge, professional ability and professional practice and other relatedrequirements.England and Australian teachers’ professional standard divides the career stage, provides thereference to standards and specifications of how to become a model and professional leadershipfrom a new teacher. In this research, based on teacher professional development needs and the draftof teachers’ professional standards in our country, using Bereday four phase comparison methods,analyze the UK, Australia teacher professional standards from the multiple points of view, such asstandard concept, connotation, structure and function of the standard. Try to synthesis and induceteacher professional standards of common experience between the two countries. In both countriesto develop teachers’ professional standards are attaches great importance to the teacher careerdevelopment; attaches great importance to the construction of teachers’ professional standards inthe two-dimensional coordinate structure-teachers’ professionalism and teacher professionaldevelopment stage; attaches great importance to the teacher’s effective teaching ability, cooperationability, the difference teaching ability. On this basis, this research puts forward several Suggestionsfor the future of revision and improvement of the teachers’ professional standards in our country:first, pay attention to the position of teacher’s professional development before and after continuity;Second, pay attention to the teacher’s multicultural teaching ability and the differences teachingability; Third, pay attention to the teachers’ ability to cooperate; Fourth, pay attention to localconsiderations of the standard.
