Research On The Development Strategy Of Qinhuangdao Technician College

Qinhuangdao Technician College, that is originally Qinhuangdao Senior TechnicalSchool, is a national key technical school which mainly teaches mechanical and electricalspecialties. Since its establishment in1958,it has been adhering to the educationalphilosophy of stressing both ability and integrity, and has been deepening reform,strengthening major construction and teaching staff construction, showing outstandingschool running characteristics and strong strength. With the rapid development of thesocialist market-oriented economy, vocational education, especially the technicaleducation, is faced with many opportunities and challenges, and to advance well,Qinhuangdao Technician College has to make a reasonable development strategy.Starting from the contradiction between supply and demand of Chinese labor market,with reference to advanced experiences and lessons of the development of vocationaleducation at home and abroad, based on strategy management theory with SWOT analysismethod, this paper analyzes in detail the external environment and internal environmentfor the development of Qinhuangdao Technician College, finds out the existingopportunities and threats, defines the advantages and disadvantages, and puts forward thedevelopment strategy of the college according to the analysis of SWOT model andrelevant theories, and further the measures and guarantee of the implementation of thestrategy.In the process of formulating college development strategy, combined with schoolrunning direction of employment-oriented, competence-based education, school-enterprisecooperation and work-integrated learning, this paper puts forward the most practicalstrategic implementation plan from eight aspects including the structure of running school,hardware construction, management reform, major construction, talent introduction,campus culture, moral education and characteristic construction, builds a relativelycomplete strategic security system from four aspects of hardware, management, capitaland organization, and finally works out a strategy for future development of QinhuangdaoTechnician College. At the same time, through integration of cases of Qinhuangdao Technician College, this paper provides the reference for the establishment ofdevelopment strategy for other vocational colleges, especially the technical colleges.
