On Hu Jintao’s Concept Of Undergraduates,Ideological And Political Education

Hu Jintao’s concept of undergraduates’ ideological and political education is asigniifcant education theoretical achievement, emerging from the combination Marxismideological and political education theory with the practical education of Chinese revolution,construction and innovation by the CPC collective leadership with Hu Jintao as the generalsecretary from16th to18th National Congress of CPC. It is the succession and developmentof each collective leadership’s central ideological and political education theory, the correcttheory principle and the summary of experiences of ’undergraduates ideological andpolitical education theory since the Opening Up, especially16th National Congress of CPC,and is the theory system and fundamental guideline to enhance and improveundergraduates’ ideological and political education in new era and period.Since the16th NCCPC, facing the new condition, task, characteristic of undergraduates’ideological and political education in new era and period, the central committee of CPCwith Hu Jintao as the general secretary, keep the view ifeld of overall situation, the worldand future, discuss deeply the extreme importance and urgency of enhancing and improving’undergraduates ideological and political education, and put forth clearly the guiding theory,importance principle, purpose，task and methods of ideological and political education. Ithas the great sense of politics, theory, direction and modernization, and signiifcantlymeaningful for us to implement the education policy of CPC fully, insist on cultivatingstudents and morality education, keep on emancipating the mind and persist to reform andinnovation, enhance and improve it, create a new situation of undergraduates’ partyeducation and ideological and political education, and train the qualiifed builders andreliable successors with fully development in morals, intelligence, physical and aesthetics,for the Socialism with Chinese characteristics.This paper investigates deeply the historical background and theory foundation of HuJintao’s concept of undergraduate’s ideological and political education, discusses fully theimportance and urgency of enhancing and improving it, and also probes the process of bringing the purpose and tasks forward, detailed content and historical rank, and so on.
