| Teachers are the core in school education, people lay high expectation and hope onhigh quality education, and meanwhile high quality education relies on a high level ofteachers. The high-level teachers should possess professional developmentconsciousness, career advancement, development ability and development action. Soultimately, teachers’ professional development has been the key role of the educationalquality advancement.Teacher human capital refers to the knowledge and ability of the teachers. It is thetotal of the health,knowledge, capacity and viewpoints of values owned by teachers.The practice of the higher education has proved that reasonable utilization of teachershuman capital,giving full play to teachers’ self-initiative and groundbreaking andconstantly improving the quantity and quality of teachers human capital are thefundamental solution of further elevating core competitiveness of universities,therefore,it is necessary for us to strengthen the human capital to promote teachers’ professionaldevelopment from internal and external sides.This article describes the relationship between the essence and feature of teacherhuman capital and teachers’ professional development, analyzes the developmenthistory and existing condition and problems of college teachers’ professionaldevelopment. Finally puts forward the policy proposal for improving teachers’professional development from strengthening the general human capital and specializedhuman capital two sides.The thesis is divided into four chapter: the first chapter is the introduction,itmainly consists of the cause of the subject and literature review. This sectionsummarizes the relevant research achievement from four sides: teachers’ professionaldevelopment, college teachers’ professional development, human capital and collegeteachers’ human capital, and then puts forward to questions on this basis, meanwhile itdefines the related concepts. Finally illustrates the research ideas, research methods andthe innovation of the research in this thesis.The second chapter introduces the relationship between teachers’ human capitaland teachers’ professional development, in this part, it consists of stating the history evolution of human capital and the connotative definition of human capital theory,analyzing how human capital theory affects the quality of education from the propertyand the extension, and then concluding the significance of teacher’ human capital toteachers’ professional development.The third chapter gives a review to college teachers’ professional development,analyzes the present situation of college teachers’ professional development and fromeast and west angles illustrates the developing process of teachers’ professionaldevelopment, on the basis of above views, it extends the current problems of ourcollege teacher’ professional development.The forth chapter analyses the strategies of promoting college teachers’professional development based on the analysis of current problems, dividing theteachers’ human capital into teacher’ general human capital and professional humancapital, and finally puts forward the effective strategies of accelerating teachers’professional development. |
