Teaching is a kind of social practice which is specifically for the purpose of cultivatingpeople.“Business as usual”, the old teaching methods will not be able to serve the developmentof future society. Yet in the face of sports teaching nowadays, improving teaching quality is oneof the important tasks of present ordinary university sports option class so that the students canbe more complete and fully grasp on physical education, sport technology and lay the solidfoundation for lifetime sports. In recent years, the sports workers do a lot of research andexploration on teaching methods.The main purpose of this study is comparing effect of "experience teaching method" between"experience teaching method" and the traditional teaching. And try attempted to solve thetechnical difficulties of students in the learning process in badminton.In this paper, the research object called "experiential teaching method" in elective class ofbadminton in non-sports colleges. Mainly use the research methods of teaching experiment,questionnaire survey and mathematical statistics, which evaluate the results of badmintontechnique, the theory knowledge and the comprehensive performance of student’s ability. Theconclusion indicate that: the students in the experimental group compared with the control group,in the aspect of teaching quality, monomial technology level, special theoretical knowledge andcomprehensive performance evaluation in the experimental group of badminton are higher thanthose of control group. There is a dramatic increase in learning attitude, the initiative of studentslearning motivation and student’s interest in badminton.The "experiencing type teaching method" with good results obtained in the badmintonoptional course in non-sports colleges. Conclusion is that, firstly, it is worth to use "experiencetype teaching method" in badminton elective class in the ordinary university. Secondly, there is astrongly recommendation that as much as possible to organize campus badminton competition instudent’s spare time and strengthen propaganda of badminton in university. Finally, teachersshould consider students’ inner demand in badminton teaching process and improve the students’interest in learning.
