The Scientific Outlook on Development takes comprehensive, balanced and sustainabledevelopment as its basic thought. And its spirit not merely lies in economy and politics; it is alsohas vital guiding significance for teaching. Cooperative Learning model is currently a hot topicin the field of Educational Psychology. It is an educational theory that is student-oriented andachieves learning goals through the students’ collective efforts. And Cooperative Learning,which people call it the most important and successful teaching reform during the past few years,belongs to Situated Learning Method. The main teaching methods adopted by overseasresearchers and teachers are: Student Team Learning method, Learning Together method, GroupInvestigation method and Complex Instruction.This research will apply the Student Teams Learning method into the tennis course over thePhysical Education Institutes. And we have proved its feasibility and advantage by Literaturedata, Questionnaire, Mathematical statistics and Teaching experiment, placing the teachingreform as the main focus, analyzing the current situation of research concerning the PhysicalEducation Teaching research inland and abroad, and giving a comprehensive study on the basictheory of Cooperative Learning method. After the combination of Cooperative Learning methodand teaching practice, we can conclude that it’s more beneficial to improve students’ Motor skills,to develop their learning interests and form a good relationship between teachers and students.The method of students work in group will do good to strengthen its cohesion and their socialbehavior.During the tennis course, the Cooperative Learning method can help teacher achieve hisor her teaching goal, meanwhile, it can improve and strengthen students’ ability to find outquestion, analyze question and resolve question, cultivate their cooperative ability andinnovation capability, form a good teaching atmosphere and promote the development andimprovement of students’ personality. In this way, all the Experimental class students likeCooperative Learning. Therefore, the Cooperative Learning method not only applicable in tenniscourse, but also in various subjects related to Physical Education.
