With the need of social adaptability development in the new era,the quality of physical education has begun to affect the formation of students' core quality of physical education subject and their idea of life-long physical education,the application of physical education teaching mode becomes an important link to improve the quality of physical education.Based on this,this paper carries out education and teaching activities around the policy of "active participation,willing to explore and diligent in practice",on the theoretical basis of cooperative teaching mode and inquiry teaching mode,this paper analyzes the elements and principles of the cooperative inquiry teaching model.It is concluded that the teaching theories and strategies of the cooperative inquiry teaching model can fully embody the affective function in the course of tennis teaching in colleges and universities,constantly clarify the relationship between teachers and students,and effectively develop the theory of classroom interaction,so as to induce students to find and solve problems,to mobilize the enthusiasm of group learning and to cultivate students' consciousness of cooperation,exploration,creation and innovation,it provides favorable conditions for the students to form innovative.This paper mainly uses the methods of literature,Questionnaire Survey,mathematical statistics,Comparative Analysis,teaching experiment and other research methods,drawing on and summarizing the past excellent research results,to study the effect of the application of the cooperative inquiry teaching model in the general tennis course of Physical Education major in colleges and universities,to analyze the changes of physical quality,mastery of basic tennis skills,group cohesion,cooperation and exploration consciousness of the students in the experimental class and the control class,independent sample t test and paired sample t test were conducted before,after and after the experiment in the experimental class and the control class respectively.The results show that there is no significant difference between the experimental class and the control class in tennis physical fitness test,the main reason is that the teaching mode of cooperative inquiry has certain limitation and closure,and the second reason is that the teaching time is shorter.In the test of tennis basic skills,the experimental class and the control class have a significant improvement in the basic skills,but through the data found that the experimental class master better than the control class.The experimental class is superior to the control class in the test of group cohesion,and there are significant differences between the two classes in group cohesion.The experimental class is superior to the control class in the sense of cooperation and inquiry test.There is a very significant difference between the two classes,it shows that the experimental class can effectively improve the consciousness of cooperation and exploration by means of planned and indirectinformation sharing and reconstruction of students' cognitive structure.Suggestions were made: 1.It is necessary to grasp the principles,requirements and key points of heterogeneous grouping in tennis teaching so that the students with different tennis skills can learn from each other and improve together.2.To grasp the main line of classroom inquiry,good at stimulating students' interest in learning and guide students to actively and actively involved in learning.3.Teachers should put forward higher requirements for their own comprehensive quality,constantly strengthen their own learning and improve their teaching ability,be able to grasp the key points and difficulties of teaching,adjust classroom teaching atmosphere and so on.4.There is no definite method in teaching.It is important to stick to it.Only do not abandon the traditional teaching mode on the basis of different teaching modes to complement each other's advantages,will give full play to the greatest advantages,rather than give up and replace.
