Xinjiang, located in China’s northwest border, as a shining pearl on the SilkRoad, due to its unique geographical location and historical reasons, since ancienttimes is where East meets West, the collision with the symbiosis of the multi-ethnicculture, creating a Xinjiang today’s multi-ethnic,multicultural character. Especially inthe musical culture of the system, it is worth a lot of things for us to explore andstudy. Piano, as the king of instruments until the1930s was introduced into Xinjiang,Xinjiang older generation piano educator decades of efforts, the Xinjiang PianoEducation has made great progress. Over the last decade, due to the development ofreform and opening up, the standard of living of the people transported to the higherwill remain not only in the pursuit of material and spiritual enjoyment followed.Many parents starting to focus on the improvement of children’s artisticaccomplishments, have let the children started to learn the piano, remedial classes tochildren reported to the community on a variety of training institutions, art schoolshave also appeared. However, due to the parents of the tamarind eager imperfecttraining institutions, there are many problems, the problems of the author analyze thesituation through surveys, and some of the recommendations put forward their own.In2008, Xinjiang Normal University School of Music combined with the advantagesof multiculturalism in Xinjiang, the "concept of the double sense of music,multicultural music education, this new direction of thinking also on thedevelopment of Xinjiang’s Piano.In this paper, a description of the history of piano education development inXinjiang, and to investigate the status quo of the of Urumqi Piano education, and theproblems were thinking.
