Strategy Research On Performance In Senior One Assisted By Modern Information Technology

As the advance of economy, science and technology, computer network technology inparticular, the globe is integrating with unprecedented speed，which requires people havinghigher English ability and information literacy. In China，however, English teaching in highschool nowadays is mainly oriented by college entrance examination which is regarded as theonly standard to classify students and ignores the application ability, especially listening andspeaking abilities. The traditional cramming system obliterates the students’ interests andinitiative, impedes the development of its inner potential and curbs their imagination andcreativity. In reaction to the phenomenon, this dissertation proposes that modern informationtechnology could support English performance teaching in senior one in order to stimulateinterest in learning, cultivate application ability as well as improve the information literacy.This dissertation consists of five parts. The ifrst chapter is to introduce the research status,purposes and significance of modern information technology assisting performance teaching.Then give a definition of modern information technology and performance teaching. Thesecond chapter introduces English teaching situation in senior one and presents the feasibilityof modern information technology assisitng performance teaching. The third chapter is thetheoretical basis of this dissertation, focusing on the guidance of constructivism, situatedcognition and activity theory. I put forward the general design thought in chapter four, whichexpound the principles，strategies, changing of teacher-student roles and procedures. The fitfhchapter is the specific case analysis. Practice has proved that it is positive to use moderninformation technology in performance. It certainly has some problems，and that’s why I lookforward to your further studies.
