China is the kingdom of poetry, and the poetry education steeped in history Classical poetry has been deeply integrated in our blood.Classical poetry, which Bears the important task to inherit and carry forward the traditional culture of China,has been deeply integrated in our blood. At present, as an important high school language teaching content, Classical poetry plays an important role in students’understanding of Chinese traditional culture, improving their literature quality and developing their personality.However, the classical poetry teaching situation in the high school is not optimistic, and even it got into all sorts of predicament.I attempt to take a way with combinations of surveys and research, theory and practice, take Heyuan region for example base on the language teachers and art students in high school art classes, survey and analyze the problems and their causes on the classical poetry teaching, so as to find suitable classical poetry teaching methods for art students in the high schools.The paper mainly discusses the following three parts:The first part, elaborates and describes the necessity and the particularity of the thesis, through researching significance of the thesis, current researches and the research methods.In the second part, take Heyuan region for example,I mainly talk about the current teaching and studying of classical poetry and the causes.I know what the current classical poetry teaching is like through questionnaires, observation and interviews.To the teachers, their education enthusiasm is not high enough, the understanding of art students is not deep enough, the poetry teaching to the art students is not solid enough, which resulted in the classical poetry teaching art students having problems in the teaching of this stage.To the arts students,they are not interested in learning classical poetry,the base of classical poetry is not firm,and the goal unclear,which makes it hard for the students to learn classical poetryThe third part focuses on the study of poetry teaching methods and strategies to the senior high school art students.According to the Normal high school language curriculum standards,and in consideration of actual conditions of both the teachers and the students,we can promote the teaching by increasing the teachers’ and students’ interests in teaching or learning,enhancing the teachers’ and students’ poetry literacy,integrating the poetry teaching resources, introducing of painting and music.The Aims are constantly to improve our own standards of teaching with the majority of language teachers and art students’ aesthetic abilities to achieve both promoting teaching and learning.
