The innovation of learning modes is being advocated in The New CurriculumStandard for Common High School (The Experimental Version). In this connection,some issues in practical teaching, such as how to develop the principal role ofstudents, making them the hosts in learning, enabling them to study in a pleasant,self-disciplined, cooperative way, so that to achieve the overall development of everystudent, have become the crux of the innovation in Chinese language teaching. Thus,a new in-class teaching mode, with which students play a principal role in learning,must be enforced. In the meantime, the worksheet-guided learning mode of Chineselanguage teaching in high school emerges as the times and conditions require. Suchkind of mode has aroused a great nationwide fervor of both teaching research andteaching practice.The worksheet-guided learning mode has been generally applied in Chineselanguage teaching class at the high schools in Haizhu District, Guangzhou City.Among all these schools, where the author works as a Chinese teacher, has beenundertaken this mode research in a planned and systematic way for quite a long time.Through years of teaching practice, the author has accumulated quantities of resources,not only the relevant process resources, but also the practical resources from theoutstanding schools at the District and the City, which laid a solid foundation for thispractical research. As every educator knows, it is quite necessary for teachers shouldmethodize and well organized the research productions on the worksheet-guidedlearning mode; then construct this mode in high school Chinese language teaching;besides, understand its service conditions from aspects of both students and teachers;additionally, objectively study its effect during the Chinese language teaching class inhigh school; furthermore, explore the advantages and disadvantages of such mode;and last but not least, ponder over how to improve this mode.The thesis consists of three sections.Section1. The author elaborates the concept and distinguishing features of theworksheet-guided learning mode of Chinese language teaching in high school. Byanalyzing the features of high school students in learning Chinese language and thatof high school teachers in teaching Chinese language, we should make definite viewsthat students and teachers act together as the main users of the worksheet, so that thethree main features of this mode could be induced and concluded.Section2. Combining the personal teaching practice, the author states in detailhow to construct the worksheet-guided learning mode of Chinese language teachingin high school. The construction should be started from the premise that teachers editand print the worksheets in accordance with the actual level of the students. During the class, making a distinction between two main types–the new lessons and therecitations, teachers conduct the progressive but consolidated procedures of “Thinkingguidance---Learning guidance---Practicing guidance---Assessing guidance”.Section3. After selecting the questionnaires and surveys among students andteachers from different schools of the Haizhu District, analyze the serve conditionsand effects of the worksheet-guided learning mode of Chinese language teaching inhigh school, moreover, explore the advantages and deficiency of this mode. And someopinions and prospects are put forward on developing the worksheet-guided learningmode of Chinese language teaching in high school.
