The21st century is the era of knowledge economy and informatization education. In order to realize education informatization and push on all-round quality education, our country attaches great importance to IT education. The new round curriculum reform is going on like a raging fire throughout China. As a new concept which is advocated by the curriculum reform, cooperative learning is attracting more and more attention and research.However, for the restriction of the economic development and the influence of population urbanization, many urban schools are experiencing sharp increases in enrollments, leading to the phenomenon of large size class in secondary schools. Under such environments, a large number of students have uneven levels of information technology and it’s difficult for teachers to give attention to each student and make the teaching organization work well. The cooperative learning is difficult to realize and there is seriously increasing polarization among students. How to enable every student to develop? How to greatly improve the teaching quality of IT in large class? How to practice the new curriculum teaching idea? It has become a problem to be solved in the teaching of information technology in primary and secondary schools.. This paper presents research on interactive and cooperative teaching model to change the traditional teaching model, promote multidirectional communication and interaction between teachers and students, between students and students, help the students learn to learn in the process of discovering, analyzing, and resolving problems, cultivate their ability of interpersonal communication and cooperation spirit, improve students’ information literacy, and then improve the teaching quality of IT in large class.In this paper, theoretical analysis research is used to introduce the definition, connotation and theoretical basis of the interactive cooperation teaching. Under the guidance of modern pedagogy, psychology and various teaching theory, this paper adopts questionnaire survey and interviews and carried on the investigation and analysis of teaching situation of information technology in middle school, put forward the corresponding improvement suggestions in order to see through the phenomena of nature and lead to the necessity of the interactive cooperation in teaching in the large class of information technology teaching in middle school. According to the learning characteristics of students in middle school and information technology subject and the design principle of teaching mode, this paper puts forward four kinds of interactive cooperation teaching modes, namely the guiding type interactive cooperation teaching mode, the task-driving type interactive cooperation teaching mode, the constructivism type interactive cooperation teaching mode, and the target hierarchical interactive cooperation teaching mode. Based on the above models, the specific operation method and teaching strategies of interactive teaching mode is discussed.In order to ensure the effective implementation of the interactive cooperation teaching, this paper discusses the teachers’ role in interactive cooperation teaching and puts forward the problems in the process of teaching which should be paid special attention. On the basis of the above model and by using corresponding teaching strategies, four teaching cases,"the general process of information acquisition"," webpage making","computer security and protection","the acquisition and processing of digital image", are designed to explore the interactive cooperation teaching specific operation method.The thesis makes an empirical research in the actual teaching. In Yangzhou Wenjin Middle School, class (1) and (2) on gradel are chosen for a semester of contrast teaching. Through questionnaire survey and experimental research on the students, using the SPSS software, the experimental results are analyzed. The results showed that the application of interactive cooperation teaching mode in the information technology teaching enhanced the students’ learning motivation and self-confidence, cultivated the students’ self-study ability, cooperation and communication ability, and innovative thinking ability, further improved the students’ achievements of information technology course. Finally, the problems existing in the research are summarized and reflected, the research direction and improvement measures are put forward for further research.
