Mathematics education, an important part of the lifelong development, lays the foundation for the lifelong development of every citizen. The school-based mathematics curriculum provides an effective platform for the implementation of lifelong education, and it can raise students’interest and improve their application capabilities. As the gradual deepening of the reform in the senior high school curriculums, more and more schools pay attention to the research of school-based curriculums, and develop a wide variety of school-based mathematics curriculums.The development of senior high school-based mathematics curriculum should aim at the standard requirement for the senior high school mathematics education, establish the basic idea of teaching requirements and take the students’development in minority areas as the starting point and the end-result. The curriculum content should be based on the characteristics of the school and the area. The curriculum development should be combined with the students’actual need.As having working for the mathematics teaching in the senior high school of minority area for a long time, the author has researched the development of the mathematics school-based curriculum in A senior high school in Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous prefecture. This paper elaborates the background, meaning, content and methods of the research, discusses the present development and future trend at home and abroad, and then it puts forward the reform thoughts, rules and aims of the mathematic school-based curriculum in minority areas. It discloses the problem and result during the development of mathematics curriculum in minority areas, and gives advice to the mathematics curriculum development. In this way, it offers reference for the mathematics school-based curriculum in the same area at home.
