Innovation consciousness and innovation ability is the key factor in thefierce competition in today’s society. The study of " innovation " is often seen inall sorts of researches, studies and discussions and many researchers havebeen trying to explore the reasons from the deep perspective--education levelThere is no doubt that our current educational system is a serious lag forcultivating children’s innovation consciousness and innovation ability and themost crucial point is the serious lag of our teaching methods and our students’lack of awareness of raising questions. After my years of teaching practice andmuch reading of reference books and papers, an obviously seen problem arisesthat our country’s primary and middle school students are not active enough toraise their questions and doubts. But what is the present situation? What factorshave been leading to this disturbing situation? What measures can be taken toimprove the situation? There isn’t much study on this specific field. so theinnovation of this paper lies in that: this research, based on the practice of thestudents and teachers of Luzhou High School, study the present situation of thestudents’ raising questions, the cause and then explore the strategies to improvethe students’ consciousness to raise their questions during their study andimprove the quality of the questions raised by the students.In the study, based on my teaching experiences in history teaching inLuzhou, the research objects of the study are the teachers and students of thethree representative schools in Luzhou--Luzhou High School, Luzhou ForeignLanguage School and Luxian No.2High School. The field of the study is historyteaching in high school, and the main methods which are employed arequestionnaire method, interviewing method and the method of observation. Thestudy surveyes the present situation of students’ raising questions in historyteaching and learning. further on the study analyses the causes of the presentsituation which mainly contain the drawback of the old education concept, theshortcoming of previous textbooks, the influence of test-based education, thedeviation of students’ attitude towards history learning, the late effect of ourtraditional ideology and culture, the inperfection of our evaluation system. Based on the study above, I put forward some measures to encourage thestudents to raise more questions, that is, to get the students to willingly raisequestions--motivate their inner motivation, to get the students to bravely raisetheir questions--outer stimulation, to get the students to be able to raisequestions--generation of the questions, to get the students to master thestrategies of raising right questions.The quality of the questions raised by the students and the way they raisetheir questions can not only indicate the efficiency of teaching and learningpractice, but also reflect our level of educating. Teaching methods are non-fixedand unlimited, so flexible and efficient strategies should be taken to improve thesituation mentioned in the study and to really cultivate qualified citizens with highquality, creative spirit.
