Since Howard Gardner,a famous American psychology professor,put forward the theory of multiple intelligences,this new way of explaining the definition of intelligence from a new perspective has caused a stir in the field of education all over the world.The concept and goal of China's current teaching reform and educational innovation exactly coincide with the theory of multiple intelligences,and the theory of multiple intelligences can also provide a referable theoretical basis and innovative direction for China's teaching reform and educational innovation.Based on the review and study of predecessors on the theory of multiple intelligences,tennis teaching method,the problem of tennis teaching in colleges and universities in our country at present stage,the theory of multiple intelligences and physical education teaching in colleges and universities on the basis of related research,combined with after I learned sport found that although the theory of multiple intelligences has obtained rich research achievements in the field of education,but in the universities sports teaching the application of research results is relatively small,in tennis teaching application research is almost blank.So this article on the basis of research achievements,using the method of literature,questionnaire investigation,expert interview method,the teaching experiment method,comparative analysis,mathematical statistics and other research methods,the multiple intelligence theory in college sports professional tennis lesson options the application effect of experiment research,explores the multiple intelligences theory the feasibility of application of tennis special course teaching in colleges and universities,and arrange them with the result of the experiment and analysis after the conclusion:(1)the introduction of tennis special teaching in the theory of multiple intelligences conforms to the requirements of teaching reform and educational innovation,helps to expand the multiple functions of tennis,and effectively improves the comprehensive quality of students majoring in sports.(2)from the perspective of the data of teaching experimental results,the theory of multiple intelligences in the university,the application of professional tennis sports option class teaching is helpful to improve the students' linguistic intelligence,logical-mathematical intelligence,spatial intelligence,body-kinesthetic intelligence,self-awareness,intelligence,and music intelligence,interpersonal intelligence,naturalist intelligence is not obvious.(3)from the data of teaching experiment results,it can be seen that the application of multiple intelligences theory in the teaching of special tennis courses for college sports majors can help students better master tennis technical movements and theoretical knowledge of tennis;It is helpful to improve the tennis match ability,the ability to judge on the spot,the ability to explain and demonstrate;It can effectively stimulate students' interest in learning tennis.(4)the introduction of the theory of multiple intelligences tennis teaching by changing teaching ideas,and by diversified means according to their aptitude,can help students find the advantages and disadvantages,and choose the appropriate teaching equipment and teaching methods,fully arouse the students' interest in learning tennis,improve the enthusiasm and initiative of learning tennis,cultivating the students' ability of innovation and thinking,so as to promote the all-round development of students.(5)the introduction of multiple evaluation methods in tennis teaching can effectively overcome the problems of the evaluation criteria in the traditional teaching evaluation methods,such as single,one-sided,ignoring the cultivation of students' multiple intelligences and respect for their personalities,so that the teaching evaluation can become a real means to promote the development of students.
