The teaching material of ideological and political theory of university is the important factor that affects the effectiveness of ideological and political theory of university. However, affected by many factors for a long time, the study on the teaching materials of ideological and political theory was limited to university education. Some scholars have begun to focus on the convergence research of ideological and political textbooks of high school and university but the productions of research are rare except a few individual articles, most of which are general descriptions of the shortcomings of ideological and political textbooks of university. What is more, the results of research and the textbooks that their researches are based on are lagging behind the materials used by students now.I have been a teacher teaching ideological and political theory since I graduated from college. So, I am familiar with the textbooks of ideological and political of high school. At present, I am a graduate student major in ideological and political education. Considering my learning and working experience and thinking about the development of ideological and political theory education, I take it as my research topic to study on the convergence research of ideological and political theory textbook between high school and university. From the perspective of specific knowledge, the paper aims to detailed compare and analyze between the high school textbooks and university ones, to make specific treatment recommendations. Furthermore, the paper will provide inspiration and reference for the teaching of ideological and political teacher in university. Through this way can the ideological and political education been promoted.The paper is divided into five chapters altogether except the introduction part. In the first chapter, starting from the meaning of effectiveness, the meaning of effectiveness of ideological and political theory course will be explained, followed by the analysis of the theory foundation of effectiveness of ideological and political theory. The next part will describe the status of the textbooks. On the basis of the above-mentioned points, the paper clarifies the relationship between textbooks and effectiveness of ideological and political theory, which demonstrates the need for this study. The second and the third chapter adopt the method of combination of analysis and synthesis. The second chapter, mainly using analysis, introduces respectively the system of teaching materials of high school and university. This part has a direct reference to the teaching of ideological and political theory of university, and has a value to the teaching of ideological and political theory of high school. The conscious attention of teachers will directly contribute to the smooth transition of ideological and political learning. In the third chapter, firstly, the paper demonstrates the significance of the study. Secondly, the paper compares the textbooks of ideological and political theory between colleges and high schools with three segments by using an integrated way of thinking. In the first place, the Marxist philosophy should be demanded to study systematically both in high schools and universities, so the comparison of these two kinds of textbooks is crucial. In the second place, history is a compulsory subject in high school, it is necessary to compare in detail between the subject of history and the textbook of Modern Chinese History. Other points hardly correspond integrally between high school and university, which are scattered in several books. So I decided to compare them together. This chapter is the core of the paper because it directly points out the repetition between the latest version of the high school textbooks and the ideological and political theory teaching materials of the university, and it gives specific suggestion. It is also a summary of my own practical experience and theory over past few years. The fourth chapter, focusing on the factual description of social surveys, describes the intuitive feelings and views of teachers and students in the repeatability and convergence. It also provides the factual basis for the proposal of final chapter. On the basis of the above-mentioned analysis, the fifth chapter makes recommendations on promoting the convergence of textbook between high school and university and improving effectiveness of ideological and political education of university.
