| Due to the special nature of the work of counselors, their mental health status will directly affect the students’psychological health level, affect the process of quality education in colleges and universities. Therefore, it has very important significance for the further development of college education to understand of our province university counselors’mental health status and explore the pathways of improving their psychological health level.Based on the survey data of132counselors in seven different levels universities of Anhui Province by using mental health symptom checklist (SCL-90) and Eysenck personality test (EPQ), the paper analyzes our province university counselors’ mental health status.The results show that the mental health of the college instructor in our province is in normal offset level,in general.But the individual has more beyond often die in obsessive-compulsive, interpersonal sensitivity, hostile and paranoid symptoms. The problems in university counselors’ mental health are showing in the following respects:1Bored with the job of somatization, compulsion, performance significantly;2Low job satisfaction, exhibited depressed;3Get confused on future, manifest anxiety, irritability;4The big gap between work expectation and the actual return, frustration often occurred;5People relationship is not harmonious.Analyzing the reason on the existence of the above problems in university counselors’mental health, there are:1The overall quality of the counselors is not high;2The enormous pressure of social development;3The work contents on college students diversity, complexity increase the Counselor’s work pressure;4The college counselor’s management mechanism is not perfect;5. The social support system is lackBased on the above reasons, this article puts forward several measures of counselors’ mental health problems from the counselors themselves, universities and social aspects:1Playing their own psychological adjustment effect;2The colleges and the universities should to do a good job on counselor recruiting and training work;3Optimizing the counselor team structure;4Building perfect counselor job security system;5Caused social and family support on counselors’ work. |
