The Exploring And Analysis Of Christian Medical Colleges’School-running Characteristics In Modern Times

In the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China time, with the appearing Christian university, some Christian medical colleges and universities which specialized train the specialists in the field of medicine such as Peking union medical college, the medicine academy of ST.John university school, Xiangya medical college and the medicine academy of Cheeloo university reached their zenith, they had been a huge success in running schools, and reached their excellences in the different historical period.These Christian medical colleges introduced western medicine, western medicine education system and hospital management system into China, which made Chinese people’s attitude towards western medicine experienced a process from jealous-contacting-trying-compared to convincing. They also trained a large number of western medicine specialists for our country, which met the need of western medicine doctors and medical education talents in our country, there was no doubt that this played a huge promotion and promoting role in the establishment of the modern medical education system in our country. Though their high level of quality and benefit in running schools、unique education training mode and the management characteristic have gone through trials and hardships for decades, it also has very important value and has a helpful reference in training medical professionals for today’s higher medical education to satisfy the needs of the society and human today.In this paper, I will select some typical Christian medical colleges, on the basis of comparative study and analysis in their medical education training mode, summarized their school-running characteristics such as elite medical education, the family of campus culture and Christian value guidance and so on, then there will be a comprehensive analysis with the view of objective、all-round and calm one by one.At the same time, with the attitude of "taking history as a mirror", through the analysis of the successful experience and methods of modern Christian medical colleges’characteristics in running schools, reflection on the modern medical education system in our country, and put forward constructive Suggestions, hoping that it will add bricks and tiles for the education reform in term of medical education.
