The Comprehensive Quality Assessment of College Students is that the universityusing the method of quantitative combining with qualitative and the method ofdynamic combining with static, analyses the students’ ideological and moral qualities,expertise, quality of innovation capacity, physical and mental quality, and gives thevalue judgments. It is a basic part of the evaluation of the quality of colleges anduniversities, and it is the effective implementation for students to enhance the personalqualities, for parents to cultivate the fully developed talents, for colleges anduniversities to foster the inter-disciplinary talents, and standardize the management ofthe colleges and universities, for the national to train high-quality talents. It takes thethree985Engineering University for example to analysis the basic situation of thecomprehensive quality assessment of college students in our country. It is found thatthe current comprehensive quality assessment also exists some problems, such as thecomprehensive quality assessment has the single purpose and lack of diversity, indexsystem of assessment is unreasonable, the assessment has no scientiifc evaluationmethods, evaluation operation is not standard, it is irrational to use the evaluationresults; evaluation does not reflect the dominant position of students. Thecomprehensive quality assessment of college students is a rather complex system, soits influencing factors are also multi-level and multi-angle. From the socio-economicterms, it includes the main market economic factors, information factors and familyfactors. From the universities concerned,it mainly includes the university’s philosophyand universities factors of evaluation work. From the dominant position, it includes theteachers’ and students’ factors. The comprehensive quality assessment of collegestudents is related to reach the national talent-training goals, advances forward theQuality Education, and enhances the college students’ comprehensive quality upgrade.Therefore,improving the overall quality of evaluation must be abide by the guidanceof certain principles, including the directive principle, the principle ofcomprehensiveness objectivity principle, the principle of incentive and feasibilityprinciple. Improving college students’ comprehensive quality Assessment in practice,you can take the following measures: establishing a scientiifc the concept ofevaluaiton,establishing the composite evaluation purposes,setting the scientiifcevaluation index system, taking the multiple evaluation methods, making the preparation for the evaluation and getting some feedback, increasing the transparencyand normative of the evaluation, making the full use of the evaluation^playing a role ofmain body (teachers, students, parents, employers).
