To strengthen the development of the social work in China is to build a harmonious socialist society’s urgently need. Social worker team is an important force of management and services in modern society. To coordinate social relations, to solving social problems and to promote social justice, we have to to build a large, specialized social worker team.However, at present,our country’s social worker team has just constructed,the number of social worker is small,but the turnover rate is high, So in this paper, according to herzberg’s two-factor theory I studied the incentive mechanism of social workers.Herzberg’s two-factor theory of employee’s motivation consists of two aspects of content:motivator factor and hygienic factor. In this paper, based on the theory,and a social work agency of chengdu as an example.I investigation and studied their incentive mechanism from two aspects of motivation factors and hygiene factors separately.and found out some of the advantages and problems in that agency. Then according to these problems I analyzes the reasons from three aspects which is the state system and the society, social work agencies and professional education, and social workers themselves. And then I based on the cause of this three levels, respectively, puts forward the countermeasures and Suggestions.In the writing of this paper,I mainly using qualitative research methods. And about the data collection methods, I mainly used the literature study method and the semistructured interviews method.
