Education is the cornerstone of national rejuvenation,colleges and universities are our nation's talent pool.They play a vital role in our country's development.They are also the driving force behind our nation's social and economic development.University teachers are the key toour country's higher education development as they are responsible both educating & researching,which are the two most important missions when it comes to higher education.Thus,being an university teacher means that one should make contributions to our country's social & economic progress.As one of the main forces of the university teachers,young teachers play an important role in teaching and educating people.How to encourage young teachers to do a better job is a challenge many of the universities are facing nowadays.This study is based on the analysis of young teachers' incentive mechanism.It also analyzes the current situation & the potential of this incentive mechanism.We choose the Shanghai local university G as the research sample & conduct a questionnaire-based survey,which covers 244 young teachers.The survey & the analysis aims to generate an insight of what are the most important factors the young teacher consider when they evaluate their current job and how satisfied they are with their daily works.After knowing the key factors which most of the young teachers feel concerned about.We do a more specific analysis of these factors.We try to understand the mutual influences among these factors as well.Asatisfactory degree analysis based on “Two Factor Theory” is also being performed.As a result,we come up with our own incentive mechanism design with an emphasis on health & incentive factors.Finally,in order to ensure the rationality of our incentive mechanism design,we suggest to facilitate the top-level communicate in universities to help the mechanism integration.Real-time feedback is also needed to ensure the effectiveness of the mechanism.We hope this paper would offer some guidance and reference for the construction of young teachers' incentive mechanism in local universities.
