Secondary School Teachers' Job Burnout Affect Middle-aged Women And Strategies

Vocational Burnout is one of the occupational diseases which affect the teachers and students physically and mentally so badly that we have to do some deeper study about it. Middle-aged female teachers are special groups of vital importance who have factual significance to the research of vocational burnout. An investigation based on the revised Maslach Burnout Inventory has been conducted to the middle-aged female teachers in six junior schools in Dalian. The results are as follows:(1)Junior middle-aged female teachers get higher emotional exhaustion and personal accomplishment scores but lower depersonalization scores.(2) There are obvious differences on emotional exhaustion and personal accomplishment because of earnings. Teachers whose earning ranges from3501yuan per month to5000yuan per month have significantly high emotional exhaustion than those whose earning is less than3500yuan and those whose earning is more than5000yuan. Those whose earning is more than5000yuan have significantly higher personal accomplishment than those whose earning is less than3500yuan.(3)Teachers with different teaching hours have different degree of emotional exhaustion and depersonalization. Teachers with more than12teaching hours weekly and8-12hours weekly have significantly higher emotional exhaustion than those with less than8teaching hours weekly. Those with less than8teaching hours and more than12hours weekly have significantly higher depersonalization scores than those with8-12hours weekly.(4) Middle-aged females in junior schools have significantly higher emotional exhaustion than middle-aged males.(5) Technical title, education background, position, teaching responsibilities have no significant impact to Vocational Burnout. At last, tactics to lessen the Vocational Burnout are brought up according to the investigation and analysis.
