In the twenty-first century, the competitions among countries have become more and more fierce and science and technology as the primary productive forces have taken on an increasing number of importance. The quality of products as the carriers of science and technology relies on the skillful levels of workers at the fullest extent. Meanwhile, the skillful levels of workers depend on the quality of high vocational education in China. Next, teachers in higher vocational colleges take responsibilities for the skillful levels of workers. As a common phenomenon in every career of society, job burnout have to be found in the educational career. It is meaningful practically for improving the educational levels of higher vocational colleges in Jilin province and the economic levels of Jilin province to carry out a study on job burnout of teachers in higher vocational colleges of Jilin province.The subjects of this paper are the teachers of five higher vocational colleges in Jilin province and a series of research methods have been used such as literature consulting, paper survey and statistical analysis. The questionnaire, which knowledge exhaustion which was tailored to the situations of China was added in, was formed on the base of MBI. From the point of population variables, this paper dealt with the data from five aspects including job burnout, emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, personal accomplishment and knowledge exhaustion by means of the special statistical tool spss statistics.Results indicate:(1)The job burnout among teachers of higher vocational colleges of Jilin province are not serious generally, but personal accomplishment is lower than the whole average. (2)The job burnout among teachers of gender differences shows difference significantly and the job burnout of male teachers is higher than that of female teachers. The rest dimensions except knowledge exhaustion among teachers of gender differences show serious differences: Emotional exhaustion and personalization among male teachers are higher than female teachers. Meanwhile personal accomplishment among male teachers is lower than female teachers. (3)The job burnout among teachers in different age groups has a clear difference. So do the dimensions except personal accomplishment. (4) The job burnout among teachers in different marital status displays a lot of differences and the job burnout of divorced teachers is the highest and followed by that of unwed teachers which is still higher than the whole average. For divorced teachers, emotional exhaustion and personalization are the highest and personal accomplishment is the highest too, but luckily knowledge exhaustion is the lowest. (5) The job burnout among teachers with different educational backgrounds is different a lot and the job burnout among teachers with post-graduate educational background and above is the highest. (6) The job burnout among teachers of different teaching times showes many differences and the job burnout among teachers of teaching time between five and ten years is the highest. (7) The job burnout among teachers of different titles has big differences and the job burnout among teachers of the primary title is the strongest. (8) The job burnout among teachers of different monthly incomes is different significantly and the job burnout among teachers of monthly income between 2,000 and 3,000 RMB is the strongest. (9)The job burnout among teachers of different classes is different considerably and the job burnout among teachers of major class is the biggest. (10) The job burnout among teachers in different positions has no difference. But to teachers with a part-time job in the administration, knowledge exhaustion is higher than others and personal accomplishment is the lowest. (11)The job burnout among teachers with or without part-time job outside school is different clearly and the job burnout among teachers of no part-time job outside is the strongest. (12) The job burnout among teachers of different class numbers by week is different obviously and the job burnout among teachers of class numbers between 13 and 18 by week is the highest.Finally, this paper analyzed the cause of job burnout of teachers in higher vocational colleges of Jilin province and put forward a series of means and ways to relieve or solve this problem.
