In recent years, the private higher education has become an important part of higher education in Anhui Province. With the development of private colleges, the construction of the teachers team in private colleges are constantly exploring and perfecting, the quality of teachers in private colleges is the key to the quality of private colleges. The professional development of teachers in private colleges is given more and more attention by people, It is not only the need of individual development, but also the need of the private higher education and the whole society.This paper, with "the teacher professional development in Anhui Province" as the topic, based on the research reason, meaning, knowing research results about the private college teachers’ professional development, to explain the relevant concepts. The author selected six private colleges in Anhui Province, more representative as the object of study, then get to know the current teacher professional development of private colleges in Anhui province through questionnaire and interviews, finally found that there were four problems mainly exist on the surface:the professional development of individual teachers consciousness is weak, lacking of professional ability, unreasonable structure, education concept should be improved, the related institutions of teacher professional development, teacher training system is not perfect, the lack of formality of teacher professional development. After the analysis and representation of the problem of mining, summed up the reasons for the existence of private colleges teachers’ problems in Anhui Province, mainly carries on the elaboration from three aspects of the government, schools and individuals:the government level, the main reason is lacking of government support for private college teachers’ security, lack of policies and regulations to guarantee the private college teachers’ professional development; college level, causes include private college access and evaluation system as well as the lack of teacher training system is not perfect; the level of the individual, reflection ability of teachers in private colleges is not enough and they do not develop the habit of lifelong learning.Aiming at the present problems and causes of the professional development of teachers in private colleges in Anhui Province, in access to a large number of data and research, the author proposes some suggestions from the government, colleges and individual level.:at the government level, the government should provide external guarantee for the legitimate rights and interests of the private college teachers, and policy guarantee for the teachers professional development; Supporting levels in schools, private colleges should improve the access and evaluation system of teachers and perfect teacher training, to strengthen the cooperation with enterprises and build teacher’s professional development platform; from individual effort level, people should enhance the awareness of professional development, improve the ability of teaching reflection and establish the concept of lifelong learning.
