The Present Situation And Promoting Path Of The Executive Secretary Of Department In University

Teaching is the core of all activities in the universities. The strength of the universities depends on that of the subordinate colleges and/or departments. Executive secretaries not only play the role of the advisors and assistants to the administration levels of the colleges and departments, but also the bridge linking administration levels and faculties, as well as the students.So far, however, the community of executive secretaries has not achieved sufficient attention in the universities. As a matter of fact, this community gathers diversified human resources, with uneven qualities and without systematic training and clear space for development. These cause the instability of this community, impaired service abilities, low motivations, which will restrict the administration efficiency of colleges and departments, as well as their overall teaching efficiency.The current research chooses the universities in Dongguan City as samples, with the research methods consisting of document research and survey&interview, analyzing the status quo of community of executive secretaries. The purpose of this research is to look into the characteristics of this community from the aspect of their qualities, and discuss their ways of improvement, therefore providing some realistic suggestion.
