The role of a teacher in charge of a class is an important part of a middle school's daily administration, and they are the fresh force in the moral education of the middle school. And their performance will affect student's growth, which has been well known. In fact, there are few theoretical systematic studies on the role of a teacher in charge of a class. As time goes into the knowledge economy period, the need for well-qualified personnel in the society is increasing greatly, thus the transformation from education aimed at exams to aiming at well quality is an inevitable trend.So the teachers in charge of classes in middle school, whose job are connected with students directly; play a key role in teaching, and their own performances directly affect the success of quality education. Then what kinds of ways can help a teacher to improve his performance to fit in with the development of society and needs in their job? Under the guide of theories concerned with Marxism, combining my own many years teaching experience with theories and practices of ideological politics education, I will discuss, in the following essay, how to possess the basic qualities to be a qualified middle school teacher who are in charge of a class. The passage is divided into four parts:The first part: the significance of improving the quality of a middle school teacher in change of a class. It has two sections. One is the role and importance of a teacher in charge of a class in the process of middle school teaching, and in this section, the key role of theirs will be clearly defined. The other section is to expound the necessity of improving their performances from three points of view, first is the trend of the times. Second is training the modern personnel developing themselves and strengthening the education aimed at teachers who are in charge of the classes. Third is the results of daily administration and the key roleof theirs in promoting quality education.The second part: the duty and basic quality of a teacher in charge of a class in new period. In this part, their duty will be defined clearly based on the former part's explanation. I aims at describing the duty new challenge they are facing. Then it will be concluded by presenting what qualities they should possess. Such as the perfect mastery of ideologies politics, rational knowledge structure. Qualified ability and healthy body and mind etc.The third part: the essay gives a general introduction of present performance of teachers who are in charge of the classes. On one hand, it presents a positive view about existing advantages: On the other hand, it reveals the problems that exist in practices. If it fails to improve teacher's qualities rapidly, it is impossible to meet the new requirements in middle school ideological politics education.The fourth part: the essay presents the solutions to the improvement of teachers' qualities from internal and external aspects. On their own position, they should actively strengthen the communication with other persons who are also engaged in ideological politics education in other fields and collect the feedback information from the students. At the same time, they should engage themselves in further part-time studies, especially in ideological politics theory, modern scientific technology, pedagogy, psychology and general knowledge about law etc. From the external elements, the superior education sectors and middle school should take effective administration on the teachers who are in charge of the classes. Furthermore, they should provide chances for teachers to receive all sorts of studies and training and good conditions from various aspects for them to improve the qualities.
