With the urbanization and industrialization of China, there has emerged a large mobile population. The education of the children of the mobile population (either away from hometown or away from parents) has become an issue. According to "The Statistical Bulletin of2011National Development of Educational Cause" published by the Minister of Education, the population of migrant workers’children under compulsory education (from rural areas, but live with parents who work in urban regions) reached12.6097million,937,900more than that of2010.The fact that migrant workers’children move a lot has posed great challenge to schools and teachers, and significant impact on the local students and parents. With policy restrictions easing, it will be more common for migrant workers’ children to attend schools where their parents work. Therefore, it has become an imminent task with realistic significance to tackle this issue, so that children of migrant workers can grow up healthily both physically and mentally away from hometown. This paper selects the students from migrant families at the Second Primary School of Wenqiao Town as the object of study, utilizes interviews and questionnaires to investigate the status quo of education of migrant workers’ children. Its findings indicate four typical problems:1, poor academic performance on average, yet the gap between the best performing and the worst performing is huge;2,low expectation and lack of attention from the parents;3,difficulty in getting enrolled;4, inconvenience on teaching caused by mobility. This paper also analyzes the causes of these problems, and concludes that the main cause is that migrant families are too mobile, thus the hard work of teachers usually ends up little. Also the school enrollment system has yet to me improved; and the measures of fair educational opportunities for all are still to be adopted. This paper proposes four strategies and suggestions to the aforementioned problems and causes.1, reduce mobility of the migrant parents and students, and attach more attention on learning;2, teachers have more confidence and patience on the migrant students;3, the school should follow national policies in terms of enrolling students;4, social policies should be more functional on controlling the mobility of migrant children.
