The education for migrant workers’children is currently a hot issue in the elementary education area, and also a matter that increasingly arouses concerns from the society. The number of schools whose majority of the students comes from migrant workers’children is increasing. However, the education quality of these schools still needs to be improved. Only in Wuchang District of Wuhan city, among31junior high schools (including nine-year education schools) there are13schools facing the same problems. In this research Xudonglu School serves as the study object representing schools in which the number of migrant workers’children accounts for70%or more. This paper discusses methods and approaches to improve school education quality by helping students form good learning habits. It is hoped that this paper can be a reference to schools with the same situation. Thus development of education can be better balanced and the quality of school education gets improved.Part Ⅰ:Introduction:With the education problems of migrant workers’children becoming increasingly prominent, the study object is established and the research significances of this paper are summarized in this part. It also reviews researches concerning current education issues of migrant workers’children, and defines the methods and procedures of this research.Part Ⅱ:By using Wuhan Xudonglu School as a study object and adopting questionnaires and interviews, this chapter analyzes the family status, family education, learning behavior and learning habits of the migrant workers’children. Factors that effect the formation of good learning habits of migrant workers’children are also analyzed. Those factors include coming from different regions, weak learning foundation, psychological problems caused by urban-rural differences, poor growing environment, poorly educated parents who are unable to teach children to develop good study habits, and lack of home-school cooperation. All these are vital factors leading to present study habits of migrant workers’children.Part Ⅲ:Four aspects are put forward to study accesses that help build good learning habits for migrant workers’children of the Xudonglu School:strengthening the cooperation between home and school; improving home education efficacy and school management; reconstructing school culture, strengthening management of virtuous and moral education, building a good teacher-student relationship, exploring efficient classroom teaching methods; and searching for better classroom learning habits.Part Ⅳ:this chapter reflects defections of the ways that can stimulate migrant workers’children of the Xudonglu School to build good learning habits from five aspects: enhancing the executive ability of school leadership, strengthening the construction of featured curriculums and carrying out student association activities, changing classroom teaching and learning methods, optimizing the teaching staff, and developing proper evaluation mechanisms in school.
